I don’t like to play favourites, but I’ll just be honest and say that this wedding is most definitely up there!
Jess + Elvi’s day truly reflected who they were as people and as a couple. They created a day that was colourful, spiritual, musical and full of light and love. Every little detail of their day encompassed much thought and significance. From the venue location of Jess’ childhood home in Belgrave South, to the cutlery that Jess + Elvi collected from op-shops, to the “E + J” timber light initials hand made by Elvi. DIY wasn’t something they took lightly. The ceremony began to the sound of the Didgeridoo played by Jess’ brother followed by a drumming ceremony conducted by the celebrant and a recognition of the land. There was not a dry eye around as their nearest and dearest spoke of the unquestionable love that Jess + Elvi shared. The celebration continued under the stars with guests enjoying a delicious spread of food catered by family friends, live tunes by three of Jess’ tennis clients (Jess is a professional tennis player and head coach!), a fire twirling show put on by a guest and a traditional Latvian send-off by Elvi’s family.
Beautifully magical and heart felt. I really do love it when couples stay true to themselves when putting together their wedding day and these two wonderful humans did just that.
Happy 1st wedding anniversary Jess + Elvi!
